FREE Is Not Always So Free!

In an earlier post I mentioned that you can get tools, like web page editors, for free. This is very useful if you’re working on a limited budget and need to save your cash.

But there are some hidden downsides that not everyone takes account of when they use these free tools. One of the key ones is the investment of your time to learn how to use the new tool, like a web page editor.

Most tools today are quite intuitive to use, but that said even quite simple tools do take some time to learn.

Ideally you don’t want to repeat going through the learning curve all over again because you’ve found a much better tool.

If at all possible, and providing you can afford it, find the right tools for you and what you want to do right from the start.

If you do this you’ll be able to stay with these tools as your business grows without having to re-learn how to use any new tools.

After all the time taken to learn about how to use a replacement tool can always be used to move your business forward elsewhere. The last thing you want to do when your getting started is to waste your time and energy repeating stuff.

The other thing about free tools is that they are not always supported both from a technical point of view of indeed any training materials that you might find helpful, possible vital!

So perhaps free is not quite so free if you sit down and think about it for a while.

Later on I’ll be listing out the basic tools you’ll need to get started to build a web business.

Stay Tuned…
