Blogging Blind Versus Blogging With Intent

0

So far I’ve been using this WordPress blog to attract traffic to the site before I get rid of the clunky FrontPage text version.

A new look and feel for the site is under development that I hope you’ll find much more modern looking and much more friendly on the eye.

But one thing has occurred to me. I suddenly realised I was blogging blind!

I was a little shocked when I realised this because writing these blogs does take some time to do. And it would be a great shame if I were totally wasting my time. Which of course is a risk if you blog blind.

So I guess having introduced the term I ought to now go on to explain what I mean by it.

You see, so far I’ve been posting away assuming that these posts are relevant and of interest to you. And as far as it goes I suspect that they may well be true. But… I can’t be totally sure.

So what do I have to do to make sure each blog is relevant? The answer is really quite simple. It’s called keyword research. By doing some keyword research I can establish the likely interest and volume of interest in a particular keyword.

There’s also an added bonus. I can also link the blog post to a web page on my site via a selected keyword phase so that the web page gets picked up by the search engines more quickly. Thus bringing me more targeted traffic.

Stay Tuned…
